Thonglor Animal Hospital, led by Dr. Kritika Chaisupathankul, Executive Chairman, and Ms. Lamphueng Thasak, Director of Pet Care Business, in collaboration with business partners in pet products including Dr.Zkin, DR.CHOICE, STERRING, Remy, SpectraForDog, ProPlan, Hana Pet, and Merge, organized the dog grooming competition “The Star Search Groomer Season 2” and awarded prizes to the winners at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center recently.

Dr. Kritika Chaisupathankul, Executive Chairman of Thonglor Animal Hospital, stated that Thonglor Animal Hospital has been in the pet care business for over 30 years and offers Medical Grooming services, which is a new dimension of pet grooming in Thailand. This has made us aware of the needs of pet owners who seek grooming services that meet professional standards from reliable groomers. Therefore, we continue to organize the dog grooming competition “THE STAR SEARCH GROOMER SEASON 2” for the second year to provide opportunities for talented groomers interested in the profession to gain experience and motivation for learning, leading to enhanced customer service and elevating the standards of dog grooming to be more widely recognized internationally. Additionally, it contributes to building a community of pet groomers who support each other and promotes a quality community of pet lovers.

The special feature of this event is that it brings together a panel of esteemed judges with extensive experience in dog grooming competitions, including six members led by honorary advisors from the Thai Dog Grooming Development Association, namely Professor Yanyong Rojanapathan, a royal dog groomer at the Amphorn Sathan Throne Hall, and Professor Thanapol Wannawarak, who has long experience in pet grooming and is a senior executive at Master Groom Co., Ltd., as well as an executive at Pet Club, Pet Lover Center Thailand. Other judges include Professor Sarawut Thitisaksakul and Professor Tivaporn Chidprang, co-founders of Perfect Dog Thailand, Mr. Piyasak Kulprasertwattana, a grooming equipment expert, and Ms. Lamphueng Thasak, Director of Pet Care Business at Thonglor Animal Hospital, who honored the event with their presence to provide guidance and help find The Star Search Groomer in this competition.

The judging criteria for the dog grooming competition this time are divided into 45 points for aesthetic skills and precision, and 55 points for creativity in designing styles suitable for the shape of each dog breed, with styles appropriate for daily life, as well as the ability to handle the dogs, ensuring they feel safe and cooperate with the groomers during the grooming process.

For the final round of the competition, 15 contestants showcased their dog grooming skills, and after the grooming demonstration, there was a presentation and Q&A session with the esteemed judges to determine who would win the “The Star Search Groomer Season 2.” The results of the competition revealed the following winners:

1st Place Winner: Ms. Suchada Kongmaneepan
1st Runner-Up: Mr. Tachalon Wissutapornpong
2nd Runner-Up: Ms. Natthipha Wareesrasak

The winners of the competition will receive trophies (for the first place winner), certificates, and cash prizes of 10,000 THB, 5,000 THB, and 3,000 THB, respectively. Additionally, they will receive pet products from sponsors of The Star Search Groomer Season 2, including Dr.Zkin skin and coat care products, DR.CHOICE pet products, Remy premium pet food, SpectraForDog parasite prevention and treatment products, ProPlan dog food, Hana Pet quality pet supplements from Korea, and Merge quality pet products.
